As a Development Engineer in Extrusion & Polymers at our Innovation Center in Godby, you'll be at the heart of advancing and refining our extrusion processes, driving innovation, and collaborating with global stakeholders to deliver results. Your role and responsibilities
Process Development & Improvement: Be part of the development and enhancement of extrusion processes, contributing vital scientific insights regarding performance, quality, and business value.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Engage with a wide range of stakeholders, including customers, suppliers, and internal teams, to ensure the successful development of new processes and technologies.
Quality Assurance: Work in line with quality management standards to ensure the excellence of all results and outputs.
Knowledge Sharing: Provide specialized knowledge in extrusion, polymers, and related areas to support the organization and its goals.
Innovation & Technology Leadership: Stay ahead of industry trends and technological developments, sharing new materials, tools, and methodologies to advance company projects.
Fostering Team Culture: Contribute to creating a collaborative and positive work environment, supporting team culture and growth.
What We're Looking For:
A degree in a relevant field, minimum BSc.
A background in extrusion, polymer, or process engineering, with a scientific approach to problem-solving and development.
A strong sense of responsibility and ownership in your projects and deliveries.
A mentoring attitude-someone who is eager to share knowledge, help others solve problems, and promote learning within the team.
A scientific approach, data usage for gaining and proving insights as well as a structured documentation style
Strong communication skills for engaging with a diverse set of stakeholders, including customers and internal teams across the globe.
We'd also appreciate if you to have some of the following knowledge and experiences:
Experience in fluoropolymer extrusion
Understanding melt rheology, the process of it and the related equipment.
Process simulation as a tool for development of extrusion processes
Development of test methods for understanding tubing properties and performance
